Baal Aadhaar (0-5 Years)

There are two types of enrolment for children aged 0-5 years under the Aadhaar system: Head of the Family (HoF) based enrolment and Document based enrolment.

Enrolment Type I: Head of the Family (HoF) based enrolment

Head of the Family (HoF) based enrolment is mandatory (except for children residing in shelter homes or orphanages) for children below 5 years of age. Document Required:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport

Enrolment Type II: Document based enrolment

The following document will act as Date of Birth and Proof of Relationship:

  • Certificate issued on UIDAI Standard Certificate format by: Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head of Institution of recognized shelter homes or orphanages (for children of concerned shelter home or orphanage only).
